Cool Kid, Cool Cat

I have the most amazing kid and cat in the world! I am one lucky girl.

What's In a Footprint

Dear Hunter, Your mommy's friend called me today to let me know that you unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus yesterday. I don't know if you remember me or not, but I certainly remember you. A few weeks ago I met you as I did a Piggies and Paws gallery. You loved trains more than any kid I have ever met. So much so, that you wouldn't let go of the train for me to print your hand and I know you were going to get a Thomas train table for Christmas. I am so glad your mommy chose so many prints . . . the train, the angel, the pig. But most of all, I am glad she chose the beach print. We made our usual trip to the zoo, the Fish Hatchery and even made a trip out to see Uncle Terry's chickens. Loving time off with family! Exactly what Thanksgiving week is all about.

The Great Debate

Baby Center website says my five-year old is showing great critical thinking skills by debating over an issue. Looks like we have a smart one! On the way home we were having a heated discussion in the car. It finished a little something like this . . . "Nixon, you are wearing on me a little." "I know." "Well, I am going to make you a deal. You stop talking and I won't spank you." "Mom, we know what's going to happen. So, how about you go ahead and pull over. Spank me. And then I can just keep talking."
