A Tough Holiday!

After playing with Toby all week long, Grey was one tired kitty.  This is how he looked most of the day on our first day home.  Poor guy!

Lucky Seven

We celebrated Nixon's birthday with a hot wheels theme today.  She LOVED that we were able to eat at her favorite place on Christmas because they were open!  That never happens and she was so happy. I cannot believe my baby is seven years old.  It's hard to believe that seven years ago my life changed in ways I could only imagine at the time.  Nixon, you are by far the most amazing young lady I have ever known and I have loved every second of your seven years.  I cannot wait to see what eight brings us!

Merry Christmas!

These two played non-stop! We had loads of fun celebrating Christmas in Athens with family and friends.  Nixon got some serious swag from Santa and enjoyed a day full of energy and love.  Even Grey got into the spirit of opening presents!

Anthony Yanez Rocks!!

Where it all happens! Behind the scenes Working with the "green" screen. Not sure why it is called the green screen, since it is really blue! Either way, it is pretty hard! Writing her name on the monitor to the right using the "green" screen. We had the amazing opportunity to tour the Local 2 News station today as a treat to our weather-loving daughter. Anthony Yanez , the morning and afternoon meteorologist, was so nice as he took us all around the station and showed us how everything was done. He even let Nixon practice doing the weather and talked to her about great colleges to attend to be successful. Looks like we might have an Aggie on our hands. We even got to meet one of the news anchors. We never miss the morning news, so it felt like we were meeting true celebrities. What a great day!!!

Santa Came Early!

Nixon LOVED her Whipple set . . . we may have a future pastry chef! Peeking out of the window of our new castle. Our new race set. By far, Dad's favorite! Grey prefers the LaLa Loopsy Tree House! Our happy girl! She loved the telescope. What a great idea Santa!! The AMAZING castle! Lucky for us, Santa is awesome enough to know we will be out of town on Christmas Day, so he comes to visit us at home early. And today was that day! Nixon loved opening all of her Christmas goodies! I think the favorite gift by far, is the castle! What's not to love about a box shaped like a castle?!

Christmas Kitty

We love our Grey Kitty and love that he loves Christmas!! Merry Christmas!

Breakfast with Santa

Family Pony Races- pretty sure I won! We had a blast again this year having breakfast with Santa at Spring Creek Christmas Tree Farm. Last year was amazing, and this year was just as magical!! Santa and Mrs. Claus were so kind to spend time with us eating pancakes and then accompanied us on a hay ride out to the tree house where Santa read a story. Another amazing year eating with Santa!

Silly Girls

I found these the other day while cleaning out a drawer and they made me smile!

Where Does the Time Go?

Can you believe this baby is almost seven years old? Where in the world does the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were going to visit our little frog-legged baby in the NICU at Baylor Hospital. I am so blessed to be her mommy!
