Long Time No See

Yes, I know.  It has been forever.  So, I am going to spend the next couple of days trying to catch up.  We have been very busy!  And I haven't been feeling well at all.  This non-pregnancy just keeps on giving.  Ha!  I would like to share something with you though.  Most people know that I didn't have an easy birth with Nixon and she was very early.  The first year of her life was even harder.  I struggled with my health for five years searching for someone to listen to me.  I was so blessed to have found my miracle at the Hotze Health and Wellness Clinic .  I had finally found a group of doctors to listen to me!  And instead of treating me like I was crazy, they helped me heal!  In return, they have asked that I create a video to share my story and enter into their weekend getaway contest.  If you would please take some time to watch my story and then vote for me, I would so grateful!  The website i...

Spring Break Day 5

We had so much fun on our trip to Branson, but it sure felt good to make it back to Athens for a little more relaxation and visiting.  Nixon loves to ride on Papa's "car thingy" and loves it even more when Toby joins in the fun!  On our way home, we finally stopped to see the Big Guy.  Sam Houston that is.

Spring Break Day 4

Bronco Lake We started this day off in Branson at Talking Rocks Cavern and loved our tour of the cave.  Then Papa suggested that we "swing" by Oklahoma and show Nixon where we got married.  I truly miss Oklahoma sometimes and jumped at the chance to go back and visit.  We drove straight into Edmond, Oklahoma and took time to show Nixon where we were married, where she lived, and some of the special places we went from time to time.  I loved going back!  Seeing where we were married was the perfect way to spend our Ninth Anniversary!

Spring Break Day 3

The big giant pancakes at Billy Gail's breakfast place.  Yum! The amazing Butterfly Palace in Brason This little blue bird was sure cute.  Until he pooped on daddy! Another amazing time at Dixie Stampede.  This place is so much fun!  Papa even won a medal for our team by throwing cowboy horseshoes, otherwise known as toilet seats!  But, our team won!  Thanks Papa! Best seats in the house!  Dolly Parton owns the place and we sat in her seats!

Spring Break Day 2

On Day 2, we took a little day trip to Big Cedar Lodge.  This place is amazing!!  We enjoyed shopping at the gift shop and taking in the beautiful sites.

Spring Break Day 1

We loved this little Christmas Village in Branson.  She is telling Santa secrets! How much fun is this giant chair!!! We all survived the long trek to Branson!  Nixon was such a trooper.  I am so proud that she is such a great little traveler.  We started day one with some shopping at the outlet malls and this amazing Christmas village.  We also had lunch at a diner with singing waiters and it was so much fun!

Go Texan Day!

This little cowgirl looks forward to Cowboy day at school all year long.  Isn't she just a sass!  I love it!

My Cat

Have I ever mentioned just how much this guy means to me?  He got out the other day.  Or so I thought.  We have had lots of wind lately, and our door blew open setting off our house alarm.  When they called and told me a door was open, instead of worrying about a burglary, I worried my cat got out.  So, when I came into an open house- not even thinking for a second there might be bad people inside- I was in a panic when I couldn't immediately find him.  I first called my mom.  Not sure what she could do from so far away, but she did tell me to quit yelling.  I tried my brother and he didn't answer.  Again, not sure what he was going to do.  Finally, I got in touch with one of my friends from school and she "talked me off the ledge."  After thirty minutes of walking around my neighborhood like a completely crazed woman, I give up and go in to get my keys only to find my cat watching me with giant eyes.  I could almost here ...
