What Goes Around Comes Around

It was quite a shock when my friend Brandi brought me this blanket with little E's name on it.  This is no regular blanket.  YEARS ago . . . when I was just sure I would be having the six kids Bryan and I wanted, I bought a few little boy things that I loved.  I held on to them for years and years.  Loss after loss later, my dear friend Brandi found out she was expecting a boy.  I was thrilled to be able to pass along my little boy items knowing we would never have another baby.  Well, doesn't life have a way of making us laugh?!  Brandi held on to this blanket and it was so meaningful for her to return this blanket to me for us to use with our own little baby boy!

Daddy-Daughter Time

These two were able to spend some quality days together just catching up and doing loads of fun things!  I was supposed to attend a 3 day workshop, but my doctor quickly said that won't be happening.  This pregnancy is not going well for my body, even though little E is happy as can be tucked inside.  Bryan went ahead and took the time off and took this girl to Kemah, the Downtown Aquarium, Splash Away water park, along with lots of other fun times.  Glad they had the time together!

He's Still There

Baby E is still there and still cooking.  I know it shouldn't surprise me that we have made it this far, but it really does.  The specialist says he is doing great!

Our Favorite Place

We love visiting the drive-thru Safari with Nana and Papa as often as possible.  This place NEVER gets old and every single visit is so different.  This time we fell in love with the baby pig!

Happy First Day of Summer

Well . . . my first day of summer 2016 will certainly be memorable!  I was driving along singing to my music when a truck decided to turn left out of a non-turn lane.  Right into me.  Luckily baby and I are both doing just fine.  And now we can laugh at just how terrible our communication was during the entire event.  The accident occurs and I immediately have contractions.  The guy who hit me was an EMT and he quickly went from being the guy who just tore up my car into being the guy who needed to make sure baby and I were fine.  He was so nice and took very good care of me.  We quickly assessed that I wasn't hurt and we contacted the authorities.  They asked us to move our cars.  I could tell the situation wasn't serious . . . so in my head, no need to call Bryan. Then the phone rings. It's Nixon.  "Mom, where are you?  You are taking forever!"  I quickly tell her the situation.  "Well . . . I have been in a...

He's Alive!

I know . . . most people find the way I am responding to this pregnancy to be odd.  When we heard the heartbeat at the doctor's office this week, I said, "Wow!  He is still alive?"  Yep!  He's still in there.  I guess most people just go about their pregnancy assuming that the baby is fine.  I don't exactly have a great track record with this whole pregnancy thing, so every time he's there, I am thrilled.  Yay Elliot!

Last Day of School

I can't believe how much she has changed this year.  When I look back on the first day of school, I really see how she has grown in to quite the young lady.  We are so proud of our girl and all of her hard work and accomplishments.  She is such an amazing person!
