Reunited and It Feels So Good

In typical Elliot fashion, he immediately decorated his "bunk bed" when we visited Wimberly.  In also typical Elliot fashion, he then didn't sleep in the bunk bed, but slept with mom instead.  Long story short, we forgot to un-decorate and left his prized boots there.  Luckily they were  able to ship them to Papaw and he graciously met us for lunch to reunite them with their boy.  His smile says it all!

It's My Party

I will just be over here crying in the corner watching this beautiful girl spread her wings for her Senior Year.  Go big girl!  You are inspirational!

Daddy's Helper

Not sure I would have used my toes to organize tools for Dad, but not a bad idea!

Let's Go to the Movies

Elliot finally got to go to a movie theater!  We didn't love the Buzz Lightyear movie, but loved the popcorn and fancy chairs!

Happy First Day!

Last First Day! First First Day!

Bluebell with Papaw

Papaw has been so good to the kids and come and taken care of them a couple of times over the summer.  Elliot ALWAYS requests a trip to Bluebell and Papaw generously agrees!

Last Hurrah!

Squeezing in our last visit to the Coy pond and trip for pizza and a walk on the River Walk before school starts.  Goodbye Summer!

First (Hopefully the Last) Self Haircut

Yep.  That's his bangs gone.  And his scalp showing.  Even the barber was amazed he cut himself bald in spots without cutting his skin.  Apparently his brand new kindergarten scissors aren't very sharp.  Thank goodness!! He thought it was funny getting a haircut until . . . . . This.  This is the moment he realized when they shave all of his hair off he will be "bald like his Dad."  He was NOT happy.  This face cracks me up!  I see so much of me here.   But dang check out how beautiful his eyes are! Practicing his bald faces and admiring the wrinkles on his bald forehead.    He finally found his sas and decided he loves the haircut!

Kinder Assessments

Today, Elliot stepped foot into his future elementary school and he was soooooooo cute!  He loved being there.  He especially loved seeing the library!  It has been a LONG time since I have been in this building, but it sure brought back a lot of memories! In the zone preparing for his assessment.  He was so nervous.  And, of course, he made an A+!  Love my little rule-follower!
